It’s that time again to introduce you all to one of our lovely stockists. We spoke to Nicole Boissières, founder of Les dessous de Mélusine, to learn a little more about her and her French online boutique.
What’s your name and the name of your website/boutique?
My name is Nicole Boissières, and I founded Les dessous de Mélusine in 2013.
Where are you based ?
I’m based near Limoges in the center of France, and I go to rock n’ roll festivals all over France and Europe.
What made you want to go into the lingerie industry ?
I’ve always been addicted to underwear and hosiery, and I believe every woman needs and deserves a drawer full of luxurious and comfortable underthings.
We couldn’t agree more! What is the ethos/concept behind Les dessous de Mélusine?
The main focus of Les dessous de Mélusine is stocking beautiful flattering lingerie that features sheer materials, ribbons and lace. I’m looking for original, elegant, sensual, and comfortable underwear for active women.
Who are you specially targeting?
Our customers are very varied, and include every woman who is looking for comfortable, original, luxurious everyday underwear, not only the nostalgics of the 50’s.
Which other brands do you stock?
We stock a wide range of luxurious brands, including Kiss Me Deadly, Lucy B, Obsessive, Bas Bleus, Cervin and Leg Avenue…
And finally, who is your all time fashion style icon, past or present?
There are many, but my main preference is Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly.
